COWBOY STAR POWER

Cowboy Star Power is a collage inspired by the mythology of the American cowboy—the outlaw lifestyle built on whiskey, cigarettes, sex, danger, and excess. 

Cowboy Star Power came out of my college years and the kind of “cowboy” lifestyle I felt like I was living at the time—drinking, smoking, sex, late nights, bad decisions, and a constant chase for the next good time. I became fascinated with the mythology of the American cowboy because I saw pieces of that same recklessness in myself: the desire to feel free, untouchable, and a little out of control. This collage is both a celebration and a reflection of that time in my life—the fun, the chaos, the excess, and the strange kind of freedom that came with it.
